Linda Hitt Thatcher

Managing Partner
Greenbelt, Maryland

I am the founder and managing member of Thatcher Law Firm, LLC in Greenbelt, Maryland. My practice includes all aspects of employment law, including corporate counseling, EEO training, and litigation on behalf of employers and employees. I successfully represented women golfers in their sex discrimination complaints against country clubs, and I have appeared on NBC and Working Women television.   I am also a certified mediator in civil matters.  I served as co-counsel with the Washington Lawyers Committee for Civil Rights and Urban Affairs in employment discrimination cases.  I have served as a faculty member for the NITA Trial Advocacy Skills Program at Georgetown University Law Center, and I am a frequent panel member and speaker for numerous CLE programs.  I am a permanent member of the Fourth Circuit Judicial Conference, a past President of the Board of Governors of the Federal Bar Association of Maryland, and an active member in the Women's Bar Associations of both Maryland and the District of Columbia. As a graduate of St. Mary's University Law School, San Antonio, Texas, I served as an associate editor of the Law Review.  Washingtonian has consistently selected me as a Top Lawyer since 2007.
