Healthcare Law

Navigating healthcare providers through the complex challenges of health law and working to make your business succeed.

Greenbelt, Maryland · D.C. Metro · Northern Virginia

At the Thatcher Law Firm, we are your partner to navigate you through the labyrinth of legal requirements you must comply with in even the simplest transactions, and we have experience providing guidance and representation with regard to fraud investigations and regulatory matters. Whether you are seeking to draft a physician recruitment agreement or wish to prepare a management services agreement for your physician practice, we can help you to avoid legal complications by anticipating issues and working with you to minimize liability risks. Beyond transactional matters, we have experience handling Medicare and Medicaid fraud investigations and providing guidance with relation to federal healthcare programs.

Our health law practice group is chaired by Robert J. Baror. While representing medical providers, Mr. Baror has handled Stark Law and Anti-Kickback Statute issues for clients, and he has represented clients regarding physician group practice bonus structures, physician practice acquisitions, physician recruitment deals, and physician employment agreements. Additionally, he represented the second largest physician practice in New York in a dispute regarding a hospital's quality of care. And, he has represented a billion dollar chain of hospitals in joint-ventures with physician practices. Mr. Baror serves as a Chapter Representative for the Federal Bar Association's Health Law Section, and he is a member of the American Health Lawyers Association and the Health Law Section of the American Bar Association.

As health law grows ever more complicated, we stand ready to help you achieve success and avoid litigation by providing you with our knowledge and experience. Though we prefer to resolve matters in a cost-effective manner before litigation and trials become necessary, if litigation becomes unavoidable, our attorneys have tried hundreds of cases and we are prepared to take your case as far as is necessary, including to the courtroom.

We pride ourselves not just on the quality of our legal representation, but also on our responsiveness and attention to our clients. We know that your practice is your concern 24 hours a day, and we will make it our concern 24 hours a day as well.

To schedule a consultation with Mr. Baror to discuss your health law issues, you can call us directly or fill out the contact form on this page.
